You must be able to justify why you're looking forward to make a career in the field. Remember that you're applying for a Specialization and not for a General Mgmt. Program a la other Institutes (where you've the freedom to decide in the second year). Apart from a good XAT Score, to make a cut in PM/RD( again, if you're a Gen Category student,applying strictly on merit basis), you must have something significant to show : e.g. excellent acad record/ cocurriculur achievements/ work-ex etc. The Rush is high.
Cut-Off for Marketing is not that high. This department is newly established, it's the 3rd best of the institute.
For Finance/IM, XAT cut-off is the lowest (Ranges as low as the 30s. Seriously!! ) Anyways, these aren't worth applying.You can think about Finance but just F'get about IM. It is the worst!
Aspirants must understand that the Institute has a Social Service Orientation and is Quite different from Other B-Schools. it's best known for the Sectoral Specific niche HRM & RD programs. Unless you have a passion (read Social Passion), you can't make Big in these fields. My advice will be to follow your heart rather than opt for a department having GOOD PLACEMENTS. This way you'll avoid committing A GROSS ERROR regarding career choice and will be HAPPY & SATISFIED with a profession of YOUR INTEREST.

i have got 66.6 %tile in XAT..and m very much interested in RD..plz throw some light on the RD program from XISS..fees and the ROI frm this institute..plz help me as i am very confused..

Could You help me... Are there any other centre apart from Ranchi for its GD/PI Whats its last date to apply 10th 91.2% 12th 77.2% Presently in 6th Sem of BBA from IMS Dehradun (Marketing) and uptill now my avg score of 1st 4 sems is 73.6% and i hope i could make it 75% Is there any chance...Kindly help!

@seniors Can I apply for PM now,as I have applied only for RM. If yes,then whether I have to send rs600 extra DD along with all the documents again?
@juhi am nt a senior bt i can help u i was also in same position of u earlier. I've applied 2 rural mngmnt b4, bt later i also decided 2 fill PM.. and thn send it. I asked frm office, they told me to send anothr form with 900 rs. Draft again.. And with same enclosures again.. Its nt possible 2 edit tht earlier form.. Nd u hav 2 send dd of 900 buck again nt of only 600.. 😃 i'v also sended dd of 900 and same procedure again.. Hope it helps

Hey can u tell me that for applying in it mark sheets need to be attested and as i am staying in dehradun and having my originals at my home @ jharkhand can i attach attested photocopies scanned and emailed to me and produced as original attested photocopies i cant send as i am having photocopies with me but not the originals and without verifying originals no one could attest them. And as i have very less time to apply so the attested photocopy from my home couldn't rach me from home by courier on time. Is there any way out? And if u hv GD/PI sessions with XISS then plz let me know what kind of topics and questions are asked? I will be grateful to you...!

RD is for the people who love to serve others.it is not for the people who wants good package. however xiss has 100 percent palcement for RD. if u talk to cutoff last year people 60+ called for GD in RD However environment now is not of last year . it may be increase. fees for last year was nearly 2.6. this year fees also going to increase little
