I can't stop endorsing my college now.. Personally, i respect every college & do not want to rate or give rank, but, honestly speaking, XISS-PM is head & shoulder above various top-notch colleges..Its not that it provides 100% placement every year, but then, placement of an institute is a function of the quality of students studying...Unfortunately, here the college adopts other means to fill the seats, which is always a heinous thing to do.. I tell you, last year, they called 670+ students for 75 seats of PM.. Or, in other words,37 seats are reserved for catholics, out of the remaining 37, around 15-18 are filled by different ways:lookround::oops:....So, realistically speaking you are fighting for 20 odd seats... You talked of XIME & its cut-off, we have in our batch, around 7 guys in 90/90+ percentile..many in high 80s..So, you better conclude at what lies ahead.. As of low cut-offs, the college is very obsolete & orthodox in the way it works, it does not believes in advertising/marketing itself..Just to get the most out of students & a broad hetrogenous mixture of students(also to make as much as they possibly can through form sale), the cut-off is kept low.. But, i would warn you friend, don't be off-guard because of low percentile, its for different reasons..

Let me clarify few things......before my admission i also used to think like that.... but it does not mean that every student are here by giving bribe.!!.......and believe me there are some students in deptt like marketing and finance (leave RD/PM) who can compete with students of any b-school...!!!!
Always remember:- Development is a process of gradual change, be it country or college!!!!!
Ranking of india is very bad in evry deptt., still isn't it the best ..!!!!! (hope u got my point)

I am very optimistic. I know where I stand in the GDs in my coaching centre. That's why I said. I said this because of my communication skills (I face the problem of fluency). I am realistic not pessimistic. You concluded wrongly what I have written.
I asked this because seats are very less and it is obviously difficult to convert (I am being realistic not pessimistic).

See there are various parameters to judge a college. I found a new method to judge XISS. That's why I asked about Bribe I needs to pay. This is my interpretation to judge a college, I know, it is wrong. Obviously you guys will not agree with my interpretation. But it doesn't matter to me.
I want to know everything about this college because I have to make decision to book tickets for ranchi.
So people, Chill. I think you guys are taking me very wrongly.
One more thing, you can add great value to you after joining this institute. ROI is great. It is sharing faculty with XLRI i.e XLRI guys come here to teach. So this is college slightly above average. Infrastructure and Administration needs to be improve (at the moment, it is also below average) but teaching is good. And dont forget ROI. But taking admission here means you are giving 2 years for an average college and obviously dream for being in top B school will shatter. But for the people who are thinking IBS, amity, KIAMS, ITM pune etc etc, it is obviously is a better choice. (only PM and RM not marketing & finance). I am not comparing.
This is my view, yess there might be objection with my views. But I concluded this after evaluating some premises.
Can give you the average range right now as the placement process is still on ....
For RD, it's between 2.5-3.5 Lacs/annum For PM, between 4-5 Lacs/annum
In January only i'll be able to give you the exact figures. Watch this space. Keep writing.

Placement season, phase 1 is in progress.
To be precise, today is the 25th(if i remember correctly:lookround:) day from Zero day.
Till date, 20 out of 75 students have bagged final placement, while 18 out of 75 students have bagged summer placement in PM.
Companies like Taj Hotel groups, Tata steel, Kotak Mahindra, Punj llyod, Cognizant, Adhunik Steels, Sab Miller, VSNL, Hindustan Zinc Ltd(Vedanta), Cummins India, Tata Motors, Reliance Trends, Mahindra & Mahindra , L & T, Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation,SPML....(i am missing a few names)...
Lowest salary offered was 4.2 lacs/annum.
Highest salary offered was around, infact slightly more than 6.5 lacs/annum.
The above list, comprises of Companies which visited for summers as well as final placements..I must make a point here that, because of the trimester end-term exams in December, the placement procedure were interrupted a bit.
I also want to make it clear that whenever i post something, i take into purview PM Department, because such is the way the college works that i can provide most of the information about my deptt, & could beat around the bush/make wild guesses about other departments...
As things shape up, we are optimistic that the plethora of companies visiting/scheduled to visit, things do look rosy:cheerio::cheerio:...

interesting facts highest package at XISS 6 lpa for PM just now i enquired BIMM pune about HR they told highest package domestic being 13 lpa.:lookround:
lekin acc to my view PM of XISS is better. People are more aware of XISS than Balaji. Waise both are average. None of them is considered among top B school. So one can choose any B school among these 2, acc to his ease.
BIMM will give you location benefit. In pune even graduate freshers get very good salary (35k plus per month). But XISS is not enjoying location benefit. Plus let's wait for seniors reply about the placements scenario.
