Nope it isn't true. Rumors always find their way. BTW, why are you so desperate to give 'ANY amount of donation' to take admission?

An advice : Use the money to start a venture or invest it. If you can't, you won't be a success in the social sector either (after paying donation for admission in a mgmt. institute), Coz Social Sector is all about Entrepreneurial abilities.

The only way to get thru is having a good XAT percentile & performing well in Gd/ PI.

hey got thru finance at xiss......plz tel me d exact fee structure fr d crse???and is it mandtry to pay fr industrial visits nd all?????????what s d avg nd highst placment fr finance????plzz do hlp...as i hv call frm ssbm,pune.....cnt decide.....r all grls provided hostl facilities.....plz rply soon...
are all studnts of previous batch placed???/

Guys i have converted marketing(had applied only for marketing) and have a dead-line of 30th april to pay the fees. The dilemma is that i have also got thru IISWBM Kolkata and the marketing dept there is grt too..so in a terrible fix now n utterly confused as to opt for which of these..the average placement figures for marketing could be helpful..seniors n fellow puys pls shoot ur inputs! Help! Cheers!

The fee for the current batch is roughly 60,000 rupees per trimester (6 trimesters in total).
It does not include hostel charges (Hostels are available only for girls)

I am sure you have gone through the previous posts.
The placement in HR (earlier it was called PM) is far better than Marketing.
Last year, 73 out of 75 students were placed in HR. As of marketing, i need to check it with my batch mates, but it was not great.
The placement season commences from 1st of November, so keep checking for the updates regarding placements.
Regarding cut-offs, i presume this time it will be 75+, even if they publish it in their form as 30+ (This one is my personal view)

thanx a lot man. But the thing is that i m interested in marketing and hr,as i have done my bbm from ms ramaiah Bangalore i have specialized in marketing. I have 1.5 years of work exe what are my chances and how do u think fees going to increase by next year and please tell me the total course fees exactly.

A tad less than 5 lac is what i would say, you will have to spend in here, which includes almost everything, industrial tours, camps, etc. Yes, fooding & lodging, you will have to spend in addition to this amount.
Coming to answer your 1st question, just because you have specialized in marketing, it might make your interview interesting or a bit tweaky;)
Your chances as of now, are as good as anybody else. But, having said that, you coming from a business management background might play to your advantage.

XISS is excellent if u talk abt PM(HR) specialization ..others placement wise are not that gud.....BIMM pune is a gud college with decent placements but wen u consider ROI XISS is far ahead....

I too applied for XISS Fin in 10, got shortlisted but din take admission becoz, got the same feedback that apart from PM the placement scenario is really bad

Applied to few NITs as a back-up got through NIT Surathkal,Durgapur n Allahabad n finally took admission in NIT Surathkal...

And finally very happy n proud on my decision ,Invested 1.2 L for my entire studies (NITs being Govt colleges charges very less) and got placed with a salary of 8.81 LPA.....

So to all my frns who r worried, pls forget all tensions Give ur best shot in watever Xams u r upto, n try to xplore colleges tat r not so well known but offers MBA at a very lesser cost n provides decent placements...

Thanx
