what is the minimum package offered for finance and marketing??????? how many companies?
as my friend studied in 2009-2011 batch about 60% of the batch got placed in marketing department that year my friend got the package of 4.50 thats good if take the roi.
I know XISS will call us for GD-PI if we have 60 percentile or so but i came to know tht thy only take people with more than 75 percentile in XAT. Though people with 60 percentile perform better thy dont get selected, is it true?

its not true because seats are limited in this institute because quota system and all cracking gd is bit of a tough job, and another factor what kind of a profile you are having academic and work exe all total it counts

u have fairly good academic record it depends how you perform in your gd and pi
are placements 100% in XISS ? is everyone able to secure a job? if not wat % of the batch gets placed talking about 2-3 prev yrs.. ?
see as per as my knowledge placement is not 100% because of quotas and other factors placement are good for pm and rural management in 2009 only 60% of the batch got placed in marketing
no i don't being from jamshedpur i know the college well and my friend past out from the college last year so that way i have bit of a idea about the college

I would like to clear the air about placements. RD & PM (HR) are the only department wherein placements are near to 100%. Marketing & Finance are also good and emerging, but honestly, the placements are not that great. However, more than half of the batch get placed in these departments as well. Information Management is one stream which is really struggling, in terms of placements:shocked:.
N.B. : XISS is a huge brand in terms of RD & PM and the industry knows very well about its standings.

Please let me know if I can expect a call for PGDM-RD of XISS with these scores. I have not yet applied and not sitting in CMAT.
Also can anyone throw some light on the placement scenario rural developement(RD) including average salary and profile of the organizations they are being placed and kind of work etc. I understand for RD one cannot be pay package oriented but I want to have a holistic picture of the RD department at XISS.
If there is any senior from RD department it will be really helpful.Genuinly interested in RD.
