MAH-CET to be conducted on February 21, last date of submitting form is February 3

MAH-CET, another important entrance examination for MBA aspirants MAH-CET test will be conducted on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Bhuvaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mysore and Raipur according to an announcement on the website of Directorate of Technical Education or DTE. The announcement says, “Applications are invited for First Year of two-year Full Time Post Graduate Degree Courses in MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDM in the Government, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State.”

Date of test: February 21, 2010

The sale of application forms along with information brochure began on January 18, 2010 and will go on till February 2, 2010.

Last date of submitting the duly filled application form is February 3, 2010. In case you need assistance filling the form, DTE has set up ‘facilitation centers’ to “scan & upload photo, submit and confirm the Online Application Form” for a nominal fee of Rs 50. The list of such facilitation centers are given at Annexure V of the information brochure.

If you miss the last date that is February 3, 2010 of buying filling and submitting the application form, he can fill and submit the application form on February 4 and 5 at the following office address (between 11 AM and 5 PM) by paying an additional fee of Rs 1,000 only.

You can buy the forms from the given verified list of post offices by cash payment only. For open category, the price of the application form is Rs 1,150 and for candidates belonging to SC/ST and other backward categories, the forms is priced at Rs 950.

To submit:

Candidates can submit their completed application forms online through www.dte.org.in/mba, the application id and password will be provided with the Application kit. They will also have to upload their photo and signature as per the instructions given in the application kit. To avoid any kind of impersonation, candidates should preserve their application kit till the end of the admission process and not disclose their application ids and passwords to anyone.

You can only submit your application forms online. Any application sent by post or courier will be rejected and the candidates will not be informed about it.

The original documents of the candidates will be verified only in May.

Candidates will have to register on the DTE website for GD-PI and send work experience certificates to SIMSREE. The schedule for GD-PI and counselling will be as mentioned in the information brochure.

Important note:

The candidates (both Maharashtra and outside Maharashtra) who seek admission through their CAT scores will be eligible for All India Seats after fulfilling the eligibility criterion mentioned in the information brochure. All such candidates are also required to buy the information brochure and duly fill and submit the application form. A candidate is supposed to secure minimum of 30 marks in MAH-CET/MMS-CET 2010 for an admission. All candidates applying through their CAT score are also supposed to secure a minimum equivalent score.

Only those candidates, who have taken the CAT will be eligible for all India seats. Candidates who have taken or will be taking tests like MAT (Feb 2010), ATMA, XAT and JMET will be eligible for institute level seats only. All such candidates will have to take the MAH-CET/MMS-CET 2010 if they want to compete for all India level seats.
