Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore Admission 2019:

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, established in 2003, is a private group of institution spread across several states. With its main campus situated near Coimbatore, the University has four other campuses. Amrita University, Coimbatore offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses including B.Tech, BA, Integrated M.Sc., MA, M.Sc., MBA, M.Tech, MSW, PG Diploma in Journalism (PGDJ), and Ph.D. The admission process for different courses at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is as follows:

  • Admission in B.tech. requires candidate to have cleared AEEE (Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam) or JEE followed by counselling.
  • B.A. admission requires candidates to clear CAP TEST and also Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
  • For admission in Integrated courses (Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Data Science), selection will be done on the basis of merit in qualifying examination and Personal Interview.
  • Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech. programs will have to appear for AGET, an entrance exam conducted by the university or GATE candidates can apply directly.
  • Admission in M.Sc. and M.A. (English Literature & Literary Theory and Philosophy) will depend on performance in Personal Interview.
  • M.A. Communication admissions require candidate to clear CAP TEST followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
  • Selection in MBA program will be based on performance in KMAT, CAT, MAT, XAT, GRE, GMAT or CMAT.
  • Admission in Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) will be based on merit in qualifying examination and Personal Interview.
  • A food performance in CAPTEST followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview is required for admission in P.G. Diploma in Journalism (P.G.D.J.).
  • Ph.D. admissions will require candidates to appear for written test followed by personal interview.
  • CSIR NET, UGC NET, JRF or GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the Ph.D. entrance test conducted by the university.
