BIT Mesra is a PCI, AICTE, UGC, and NBA-accredited deemed university. The NIRF has ranked the institute 46th in the Engineering category for the year 2021. BIT Mesra was the first institute in India to establish a space engineering and rocketry department. The institute provides over 94 courses across 18 departments. BIT Mesra offers four undergraduate, seven graduate, and one doctoral degree programs. All programs are admitted based on national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, GATE, GPAT, NEET-UG, CAT, JAM, and others. The most popular program at BIT Mesra is B.Tech. JEE Main entrance scores are used to select students for the program. Candidates with JEE scores ranging from 409 to 57088 are eligible for admission to BIT Mesra. For MBA admissions in 2022, a CAT score of 40 and above is desirable.

On its official website, BIT Mesra is currently accepting applications for UG & PG Admission 2022 from NRI/OCI/FN candidates. The application form must be completed by July 15, 2022.
