Admission to BIT Mesra in 2022

BIT Mesra Admission 2022 is now open. The institute is currently accepting applications for the MBA and BHMCT programs. Applications for the academic year 2022-23 for the BTech, BPharm, Integrated MSc, MTech, MPharm, and MSc will open soon. Candidates seeking admission to BIT Mesra should review the following admission process updates:

Registration for JEE Main 2022 Phase-I has been extended until April 5, 2022. The NTA will issue admit cards to registered candidates very soon. Phase 1 of the JEE Main 2022 exam will be held on April 21, 24, 25, and 29, 2022, as well as May 1, 2022.

The GATE 2022 exam results have been released. Scorecards for GATE 2022 are now available for download until May.

The deadline for applying to the BIT Mesra MBA program has been extended until April 11, 2022. The GD and PI rounds will now be held on April 18 and 19, 2022.

In addition, the institute is accepting applications from NRI/OCI/FN students for UG, PG, and Integrated courses. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements may apply until July 15, 2022.

B.Tech, B.E, and B.Arch courses are available at BIT Mesra in a variety of specializations, including Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Production Engineering, Civil Engineering, and B.E in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering (Plastic and Polymer), and Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Admission to the courses is based on the JEE Main cutoff and marks obtained in classes 10 and 12. Seats are assigned in accordance with the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) guidelines.

BIT Mesra BTech Cutoff 2022 (Expected)

Eligibility Criteria for BIT Mesra B.E/ BTech/ B.Arch

A candidate must meet the minimum requirements to be admitted to B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch at BIT Mesra. These are some examples:

• Must have completed 10+2 or equivalent in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum aggregate of 60%.
• Must have obtained a minimum rank in the JEE Main exam as specified by the institute.

Selection Criteria for BIT Mesra B.E/ BTech/ B.Arch

The candidate’s selection at BIT Mesra is solely based on the JEE Main cutoff and marks obtained in class 10th and 12th. Seats are counseled in accordance with JoSAA/CSAB guidelines.

Selection for NRI/FS candidates will be based on Class 12 or equivalent marks.

Admission to BIT Mesra Hotel Management (BHMCT) in 2022

At the undergraduate level, BIT Mesra offers a four-year BHMCT program. The institute charges INR 8.03 lakhs for its BHMCT program’s eight semesters. The BIT Mesra BHMCT program, which has a total of 30 seats, is only available in full-time mode at the Mesra campus. The basic eligibility and admission information for the BHMCT program is provided below.

Eligibility Criteria for BIT Mesra Hotel Management (BHMCT)

• Candidate must have completed class 12th or equivalent with English as a mandatory subject and a minimum aggregate of 50%.
• Students taking their 12th-grade exams may also apply for this course. They must present their class 12th mark sheet and have scored the required percentage during the entrance exam and interview.
• Only candidates born on or after October 1, 1996, are eligible to apply.

Mesra B.Pharm BIT Selection Criteria Candidates 

Mesra B.Pharm BIT Selection Criteria Candidates for the BIT Mesra B.Pharm programme are selected based on their JEE Main or NEET-UG scores.

• JEE (Main) / National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET-UG) scores are given 60% weightage.
• Marks in the Class 12 / equivalent qualifying examination are given 40% weightage.

Admission to BIT Mesra M.E/M.Tech 2022

Admission to BIT Mesra M.E/M.Tech programmes is based on GATE scores set by the institute. To be considered for admission to BIT Mesra, a candidate must meet the following requirements:

• M.E/M.Tech B.E/B.Tech/AMIE/MCA degree in the appropriate discipline for the respective year specialisation and a minimum aggregate of 50%
• Candidates must have passed GATE 2020, GATE 2021, or GATE 2022.
• Candidates who have not passed the GATE exam may apply here as well. Their application, however, would be given second priority. The institute prioritises applications from GATE-qualified students, and only after that are applications from non-GATE students considered.
• Candidates in their final year of study may also apply for admission.
• Candidates who have completed correspondence or distance learning programmes must have a minimum aggregate of 55 percent and be recognised by AICTE-UGC-DEC.

Selection Criteria for BIT Mesra M.E/M.Tech

The selection of a candidate is entirely dependent on GATE 2020, GATE 2021, and GATE 2022 scores, as well as academic performance in graduation.

• GATE scores are given an 80 percent weightage.
• Academic performance is given a 20% weightage.

The selection of Non-GATE candidates is subject to seat availability.

 BIT Mesra offers an MBA programme at its main campus in Mesra as well as at its off-campus locations in Allahabad, Kolkata, Lalpur, and Noida. Admission to BIT Mesra MBA is based on CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT scores, followed by a GD & PI round.

M.Sc, MCA, M.UP Admission to BIT Mesra PG in 2022 M.Pharm

BIT Mesra offers two-year postgraduate courses such as M.Sc, MCA, M.UP, and M.Pharm, as well as a five-year Integrated MSc (iMSc) degree in a variety of specialisations.

Admission to the BIT Mesra M.Sc programme is based on JAM/CUCET scores. JAM/CUCET marks would receive 80% of the weightage, while academic performance would receive 20%.

A candidate must have a B.E/B.Tech/AMIE/MCA degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% to be admitted to the M.UP programme at BIT Mesra. Candidates are chosen based on GATE scores determined by the institute. GATE scores would receive 80% of the weightage, while academic performance would receive 20%.

Candidates must have a B.Pharm degree to be eligible for admission to the BIT Mesra M.Pharm programme. The candidate is chosen based on their performance in the GPAT exam. GPAT scores would receive 80% of the weightage, while academic performance would receive 20%.

A BCA degree is required for admission to MCA programmes. The candidate is chosen based on an entrance exam and an interview conducted by the institute.

Admission 2022 BIT Mesra Ph.D. Program BIT Mesra offers a Ph.D. program in fifteen specializations. Students can pursue the Ph.D. program at BIT Mesra on a full-time or part-time basis. A candidate must meet the following requirements to be admitted to BIT Mesra:

• M.Tech. / M.E. / M.Sc. (Engg.) / M.Arch. / M.Pharm. / M.Plan./M.Sc./ MCA / MBA or equivalent Degree with a minimum of 60% or a CGPA of 6.0 is required.
• Candidates with a B.Tech./B.E./B.Sc. (Engg.)/B.Pharm/B.Arch./B. Plan. or equivalent Degree in relevant branch from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 80 percent marks or 8.0 CGPA and GATE/GPAT qualified with a minimum score of 80 percentile are also eligible for admission to Ph.D. at BIT Mesra.
• Sponsored candidates must have at least two years of professional work experience. In this case, candidates must have at least three years of valid sponsorship.

Selection Procedure for BIT Mesra Ph.D.

Candidates are chosen based on their GATE/GPAT scores/percentiles as determined by the institute. Academic performance will also be taken into account during the selection process. Candidates will be required to take the institute’s entrance exam. Candidates who pass the entrance exam will be invited to a personal interview with the institute.
