CUSAT Admission Process

CUSAT admission is based on the marks scored in CUSAT CAT and GATE exams on PG level, in terms of management and technical studies, respectively. CUSAT, being one of the premier engineering institutes in the country, provides courses in B.tech, M.tech and PhD programmes.

CUSAT Admission Procedure

CUSAT UG Course

On UG level, the college provides B.tech and B.tech lateral courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Selection is done on the basis of marks scored in CUSAT CAT which is the CAT equivalent exam conducted by the institute.

To be eligible for the Btech courses, the candidates Must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board. For lateral B.tech courses LET exam scores are considered. The details are enlisted in the table below:

CUSAT PG Course

On PG level, the institute offers full time and part time M.tech courses in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering), Mechanical Engineering (Thermal Engineering), Electronics & Communication Engineering (Wireless Technology) etc. selection is done on the basis of GATE scores. PhD course

On the doctorate level, a PhD course is offered in Engineering. CUSAT eligibility for the Ph.D course is a master’s degree in the relevant discipline with decent marks. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in the written test and interview.
