CUSAT Admission Process

CUSAT admission is based on the marks scored in CUSAT CAT and GATE exams on PG level, in terms of management and technical studies, respectively. CUSAT, being one of the premier engineering institutes in the country, provides courses in B.tech, M.tech and PhD programmes.

In addition to the full-time courses, in CUSAT candidates can also apply for part-time options in M.tech programmes. Diploma programmes are available in all the streams as B.tech. CUSAT admission 2019 is underway in the official website of the institute.

Online courses can be taken from the comfort of one’s homes and the institute conducts a variety of them on technology. PhD courses admission requires the candidate to appear in a written test and interview conducted by the college.

CUSAT Admission Procedure

CUSAT UG Course

On UG level, the college provides B.tech and B.tech lateral courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Selection is done on the basis of marks scored in CUSAT CAT which is the CAT equivalent exam conducted by the institute.

To be eligible for the Btech courses, the candidates Must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board. For lateral B.tech courses LET exam scores are considered. The details are enlisted in the table below:

Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering) Passed B.Tech/B.E/B.Sc Engineering Degree Examination in Civil Engineering branch from any University in Kerala or an examination of any other  University /Institution accepted by this University as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 60% marks.

B. Candidates who have passed Sections A&B  examinations conducted by the Institution of Engineers (India) – AMIE in the relevant branch shall be eligible

On the doctorate level, a PhD course is offered in Engineering. CUSAT eligibility for the Ph.D course is a master’s degree in the relevant discipline with decent marks. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in the written test and interview.
