The placements for the 2021-22 batch at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, popularly known as IIT Delhi, began on December 1, 2021, with students receiving over 400+ placement offers, including pre-placement offers (PPOs), by the end of the first phase, and more than 60 students being offered a package of INR 1 CPA and more than 650 job profiles being offered in multiple sectors. The most competitive international salary package was INR 2 CPA, and the most competitive domestic salary package was INR 1.25 CPA.
This year, the institute saw a 45 percent increase in the number of offers received, as well as the highest number of Pre-Placement Offers (180 PPOs) in the last five years, with a 35 percent increase in compensation offered over last year.
During the 2021 placement drive, students received over 925 placement offers, including multiple job offers and a total of 150 PPOs (including PPOs for international locations). Deferred placement facilities were chosen by 13 students.
The second phase of placements is expected to begin near the end of January.
The final placement season for the 2019-2020 batch at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi exceeded the previous year’s benchmarks, with 1100+ job offers to students from various national and international organisations.

In terms of Summer Internships for the 2020-21 academic year, over 230 students received over 300 offers from 150 organizations.
Report on IIT Delhi Placements 2022
On December 1, 2020, IIT Delhi launched the first phase of its 2020-21 placement drive. Over 300 jobs were offered to students on the first day alone, with top recruiters Microsoft, Intel, and Goldman Sachs offering the most jobs. More than half of its graduates have already been placed in various industries.

The institute held a placement drive for the class of 2022, and so far, 1250 job offers have been made, including 350 international offers and 180 pre-placement offers from over 350 participating recruiters. Microsoft, the technology behemoth, made over 60 bids. There has been a 45 percent increase in the number of offers received.
Over 300+ national and international recruiters planned to offer 500+ job profiles in a variety of fields. Students received over 925 job offers in the first phase of placements, exceeding the institute’s expectations. Over 200 companies have hired students for approximately 250 different job profiles, including pre-placement offers.
The majority of the students had chosen jobs in their technical core. Approximately 90% of students have received offers in their primary fields. Countries have made over 20 international selections, and international offers have been received from a variety of countries, including Japan, the Middle East, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan.
Deferred placements were chosen by 13 students. Students who choose this option may use the placement services once every two years.
Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, Tata Projects, EXL Services, ICICI Bank, Goldman Sachs, HCL, Wells Fargo, and IQVIA are among the top recruiters on campus in terms of the number of hires.
Pre-Placement Offers increased dramatically at the institute. By November 2, 2020, over 135 PPOs had been received, surpassing last year’s total PPOs of 113. Currently, over 150 PPOs are available to students.

The highest number of placement offers were made from the IT sector followed by the Core Companies. 32% of the offers were made from the IT sector, 30% of the offers were made from the Core & only 9% of the offers were made from the Analytics sector.
