Ropar Course at IIT
IIT Ropar has 11 departments and offers four programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and research levels. BTech, MTech, MSc, and Ph.D. degrees are available at IIT Ropar. The flagship programme at IIT Ropar is BTech, which is available in seven different specializations at the undergraduate level. In addition, the institute offers a BTech-MTech dual degree program in mechanical engineering. Admission to all of these programmes is determined by national and institute-level entrance exams. Ropar IIT Online Courses 2022
Given the popularity of Data Science, IIT Ropar has launched 4-week online L2 and 12-week online L3 Data Science programs. For students who have completed their 10+2 with mathematics as their main subject, both L2 and L3 programs are available. IIT Ropar also offers a Postgraduate Certificate program in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. The PG certificate programme is available in full virtual mode for 9 months. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of work experience are eligible to apply for the PG Certificate programme. For its PG Certificate programme, IIT Ropar charges a fee of INR 2,50,000, excluding GST.
BTech from IIT Ropar
The institute offers a fully residential BTech programme with a total seat intake of 370. The BTech programme at IIT Ropar is ranked 19 in the NIRF engineering rankings 2021. The programme lasts four years and is divided into eight semesters. IIT Ropar is the first IIT to offer its BTech students a 6-month internship programme. Students are generally admitted to the programme based on their IIT-JEE Advanced scores. Furthermore, according to the dual-degree programme criteria, BTech mechanical engineering students can opt for MTech after their seventh semester.
