PDPU Gandhinagar Admission Process

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, which is also known as PDPU Gujarat was established in 2007. It was founded under the PDPU Act, a legislature passed by Gujarat state assembly.

Admission to the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level courses is done based on the entrance exam scores followed by counselling.

PDPU Gandhinagar Admission Highlights

  • For PDPU admission 2018 in Undergraduate level B.Tech, the process is conducted through JEE main followed by counselling. All applicants need to pass the 12th level examination or its equivalent with the subjects like Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry to be eligible for the course.
  • For Postgraduate level M.tech courses, candidates are given admission based on GATE score. All applicants need to have B.E. or B.Tech or an equivalent degree in a relevant stream for which the candidates are willing to apply.
  • For doctoral-level courses, candidates are selected based on the Research Aptitude Test or RAT followed by an interview. Candidates having 55% in M.Tech or M.E. or M.Sc. or M.Sc.(Tech.) or its equivalent degree from any recognized university in the appropriate discipline is eligible to apply for the course. SC or ST or reserved Category candidates can apply with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

Admission Procedure UG

Admission to the Undergraduate level B.Tech is done based on JEE main followed by counselling. All applicants have to pass 10+2 examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to apply for the course.

Additionally, admission for the B.tech Lateral is done based on marks scored in the entrance exam. Candidates having three or four-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education can apply for the B.tech Lateral courses.

Admission Procedure PG

Admission to the Postgraduate level M.Tech courses, candidates are shortlisted based on GATE score. Different M.tech specializations have different eligibility criteria.

However, all applicants need to have B.E. or B. Tech. or an equivalent degree in a relevant stream for which the candidates are willing to apply.

PDPU Gandhinagar Admission Procedure PhD

To get admission at the doctoral level courses, candidates are selected on the basis of Research Aptitude Test or RAT followed by an interview.

Candidates having 55% in M. Tech. or M.E. or M.Sc. or M.Sc.(Tech.) or it’s equivalent as recognized by UGC or AICTE in the appropriate area can apply. SC or ST or Reservation Category candidates can apply with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
