GATE 2023 Eligibility Criteria

It is vital to determine whether the individual fits the eligibility criteria before beginning the GATE application process. Every year, a few changes to the eligibility conditions are made. As a result, the question arises: What new GATE Eligibility modifications have been made?

  • Candidates must have a minimum qualification of 10+2+3 under the revised criterion.
  •  Previous candidates were only allowed to apply for one subject/paper. Candidates can choose two subjects/papers from the prescribed form of combinations starting this year.
  • Under the amended criterion, candidates must have a minimum qualification of 10+2+3. 
  • Candidates could only apply for one subject/paper in the past. Starting this year, candidates can choose two subjects/papers from the prescribed form of combinations.
  • Candidates who have completed or will complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Arts, or Commerce, or who have completed a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject, are now considered acceptable applicants.
  • To take the Exam, you do not need to have a certain percentage. Similarly, there is no set number of attempts; candidates who meet all of the eligibility requirements are eligible to apply.
