One thing is for sure .. even the IIMs can prove to be a hopeless means to success if you turn out to be a fatalist. If you work hard, if you are really meant to do this .. then spill out your genius and pour forth your wisdom ... apply yourself .. proliferate .. you ll find that SCIT will hear you then ... and provide you with leverage ... you just have to bring in your share to the table ... getting in a good institute like scit is not all ... the next two years are gona climax into your one and only moment of truth. I visited the campus and faculty .. I find them, in a word, real. I can trust them to give me answers ... Dont write your conjectures in blogs and comments in forums and think you can make a difference. Do your research in the real world and most of all .. apply yourself .. that will give you a good career, better future. SCIT for the win .. I just completed my ge pi session last week. waiting for 28th.

I am from 2012-2014 batch SCIT. I think the above posts clears any confusion about placements.
One more point i would like to make is that we seniors are not told abt the criteria wherein which candidates are shortlisted. For eg: someone with good acads and snap score who performs poorly in GE-pi process may not get shortlisted whereas someone with an average snap score with good communication and technical skills can get a call.
As mentioned in the website the final decision rests with SCIT management
We the students help in co-ordinating the GE-PI process. We have no say nor do we get to know the criteria for someone getting a call. So in all honesty asking us whether you will get a call is futile.
And by the way while we were here last year and we came across the same http://tinypaste.com/39d51285 post. It did not take us a moment to realize the absurdity of the post. Keep checking our blogs and FB pages to understand what SCIT is all about. And no SCIT defenitely, positively does NOT ruin careers !
after all, I know that B Schools aren't meant for a good placement but at one stage u must consider those ~9,00,000 Rs. which are spent for that study.

I visited Pune on 11th feb for GE/PI at SCIT.I'd like to share my GE/PI experience that went out to be really smooth .
I was in the morning slot and we were called group wise for registration.Then we were taken to a room with chairs lined up in sequence of group number and had to sit according to them.
We were then given an essay to write and followed by a GD where we were shown a picture and had to discuss about it.
Next was a case based GD where we were divided into groups and had to chose a leader and then the panel bombarded us with soo many questions :)
Lastly we were taken for interview HR and subjective . I was very scared initially because I am a freasher , so when it comes to technical I get scared .They asked about my final year project which I managed to answer well :)
We were also taken for a campus tour which was really good after a tiring day of interviews.
Keeping my fingers crossed . I hope I get slected :)
2 years ... 730 days .... daily expense breakfast lunch dinner internet library Lab hostel ... minimum 1000 rs per day ====> 7.3 lakhs ... remaining education, experience, questions answered, case studies, practical knowledge, networking with friends n foreign students as well as going on business trips out of campus ===> much more than 1.7 lakhs ... so ur 9 lakhs will be well spent ..ull get a degree and find a job THAT YOU DESERVE... now shed that negative energy man
it is 8 lakhs( 7 lakhs 81 thousand) as far as I know. Do not get confused by my post.. i was replying to Jalpesh's post where he made this guess. I donot claim the figure (9 lakhs)to be true or a new development or something. I was just making a point which you will find easily if you follow the thread. I find that even 9 lakhs could have been delineated as well-spent money considering the two years that we ll spend in this B-school

You didn't considered that time we USED. when you don't consider placement, you should mind that you are spoiling 2 CRUCIAL years of your life in young age. They won't come back.

Dude, i understand your point.. the cost is not 7.81 lacs it much more than that... that includes your previous job(the money that u can earn in 2 years time) and loan interest that u will pay. But if u want to do mba this year only then SCIT is a god option and if u think u deserve better then take a shot next year. If u think SCIT is not your dream then look for other options.
