Weekdays - Theory
Weekends - Problems.

In Mumbai the closest place for you where you can get the Schweser notes is Laxmi Xerox centre.
In case u r 2 busy u can call up and get it delivered.

Dude.. i was asking abt gurgaon not goregaon... yes i read the previous posts on availability of material in laxmi xerox center.. but i wud like to know if there's any such xerox shop in Gurgaon or its vicinity..

You can get those in Ber sarai , near Vasant Vihar , there are a number of shops that sell those notes . They might sell you for around 1300 bucks. Rest on your bargain skills , you can always rake them down a couple of hundred rs. I don't know any shops in gurgaon.

Hello Everyone,
This is my first post on PagalGuy. I am from bangalore working for a top embedded company for past 4years(completed B.tech in electronics). I believe i am good at numbers and has passion for market dynamics. Hence, I enrolled for CFA L1 2010 and going well with preperation.
Couple of questions for your valuable suggestions:
Would i be able to enter the finance industry once i pass CFA level L1?
what may be average the start salary i should be expecting?
As currently i earn 6LPA. Is it good to switch to finance after L1 itslef or should complete L2 in order to get any good calls?
Also any suggestions in enterning finance domain is welcome.

Well its possible to enter the finance industry at junior levels after CFA L1 but that to depends on your efforts.

After CFA L1 the avg start salary would be less than your current pay u have mentioned...

If you really intend to move upwards/same levels ur currently on ..i would say try to move after CFA L2 but do keep looking..if u get a better oppurtunity with L1 go for it...

thanks for the reply, but while going through other threads related to cfa , people who passed L1 told that the matarial sent by cfa institute is qiute voluminoius . Of course ,i realise that there is no substitute for them . I plan to use schewser notes in conjunction with them.

Scwezer Notes are shortcuts and has used breivety , basically for people who have finished going thru the Institutes material ...

Dude laxmi xerox center is located in Mumbai not melbourne anyways the contact no. . his offering books for 500 till 19th october and 900 from 20th october 100 extra for home delivery anywhere in mumbai. There's another shop near HR college, mumbai named as Mahakali offering books for 900 and contact no. . All the best

i have a question for those guys who have recieved matarial frm Cfa institute . How much is custom fees/taxes paid by u guys. Can any of you give the total amount paid for getting those books + reg fees in INR. also how will we be informed when the matarial gets to india.

Hi Manutd_fan,
Once your material is shipped by the CFA institute you recieve a mail from the UPS along with the tracking number. You can use that tracking number to know where it reached(its updated perfectly). Generally it takes around 10-12 day to reach you.
There is NO need to pay any taxes/custom Fees

i think it's high time we all start discussing our doubts we face while goin thru d study material. i am sure most of us do have some problems which we want to discuss. i guess most of us r following the schedule given in d cfa material. so let us start posting our doubts. people can post what they have fiinished studying in a particular week. then all of us can ask dat person doubts in dat particular area if we have any. if we rigorously follow dis schedule, our concepts will also will be cleared & we will know how serious r prep. have been. what say puys?
