i have done mba finance currently not workin anywhr.will an experience in bpo/kpo but a finance profile(US Accounting based profile) count to gain charter holder.will an experience in sales of financial products(RM) count.please help.

See ...Sales of financial products does not really fit well with the kind of analyst/consultant experience in financial instruments as suggessted by CFA..
however, i think the best would be that you drop a mail to the CFA institute and inquire about it.

well let me tell u one thing abt the stalla classes held in India. the classes just play the videos and give u the notes .. thats it. the videos are played in each class with a instructor there to clear our doubts. well i am giving u all this piece of info so that u know where u r applying

I am a Software Engineer with work ex of 14 months in IT industry
(Total Work Ex. 18 months). I have few queries regarding CFA so it would be very nice of you if you can help out.
1) If I see by pay apckage offered to CFAs, this line seems very nice but before applying for the dates, I want to know what exactly are the duties of CFA and what all I am supposed to study for appearing the paper. If anyone has some soft copies of the related study material, please share with me at
2) As per the hearings of court (what I have read in few threads), it is not sure that CFA level 1- June 2010 will might not be conducted in India. Is this true? Do we have anyone who has applied for India and has got approval for the same? It might not be possible for me to take 5-6 leaves from my current job and go abroad to appear. Expecting it to happen in India.
3) Being an Engineer, is it possible for one to prepare on his own without external coachings. I understand its totally dependant upon an individual but just want some help in this as I have very less knowledge of financial terms.
4) I checked the cfa website for fee structure, the fee structure is divided into two parts. Are we supposed to enroll for both the things mentioned there which amounts to $1110 or the registration fee is one time payment only as it is mentioned for "new candidates only"?
Please help me in these queries.

He sells d TI BA plus II Financial Calci for 2000 n BA plus Pro for 3000.
But BA plus II shall do.
The Xeroxwala opp HR n KC(
Didnt say d cost, but it'll be competitive i guess.
He also sells d TI BA plus II Financial Calci for 1850.

CFA June 2010 is to be held outside india only and there is no confirmation till now of it happening in India.
Most people giving exam from India prepare on their own and are able to clear it.
You have to pay both the fees if you are a new candidate , registration fees might get waived off if you fail in first attempt and want to give next attempt in same year only.

I also don't hav any finance background....I have enrolled for it, haven't start preparations yet.
I think six mnths would b enuf for person with any background. U can go thru schweser notes to see difficulty level, anyway next deadline is in mid of Feb.

Hello friend ,
My name is vishal, i work in Bahrain and will appear from here only.
I would suggest stick to the CFA books and when you go to india get notes from laxmi photocopy centre whenever the exam i nearing.
