That's true. However if we are dreaming of becoming CFAs, L 1 shouldn't be a problem as it's the easiest of the lot

Ross_ Sayson an average only 48-49% guys clear level 1.. dat scared me off... :shocked:
That's global average. More than 70% Indians clear the paper. Read it on PG itself

In session 1 finished with Reading 1...currenlty on Reading 2....finshed Knowledge of the Law..

hi all CFA L1 aspirants,
I cleared my L1 in june 08. I do not want to boast but a total of 10 days @ 12 hrs is sufficient for the whole syllabus. Again prior to CFA my fin knowledge was -> 0.001 (cleared NCFM beg module). Focus on other readings first. Finish quant then complete FSA till cash flows. move to equity book and then bond book. Read remaining FSA and then ethics. Mind it read ethics from CFA book and not from schweiser. Ques will come directly from CFA book in case of ethics. Do complete Schweiser book 6 to take a feel of exam questions.
Since i had less time i marked the book 6 questions as per chapters. The moment i finished the chapter attempted the questions. Last day revision of whole syllabus is must. Please do make notes.

Hi. Even i registered for L1, June-10 on 15th Sept. I received a mail today saying that my order has been shipped today. I think u shud wait for a day or two. They usually ship the material within 2-3 days.
Also, the mail confirming ur shipment will contain all the details of ur UPS tracking number and yes it is different from ur order no.

Hey!! I agree with you that clearing level-1 doesn't need a protracted preparation schedule :-P Did u use any other prep material than CFA book and Schweiser notes? Also, is it a must to do Schweiser or CFA books would suffice??

Im planning for appearing for cfa level 1 in june 2010. Have not register yet will do it once it is confirm that exam gonna held in india.
Now i have some queries.... if anyone can answer them
1) Is there any import charges or custom duty on curriculum sent by cfa institute in india.
2) Which module is the toughest in cfa level 1 exam
i started with first study session of economics. the theory given in the chapters is beautifully explained with examples. it is sheer pleasure goin thru the text. i have checked some of the chapters in schwester as well.
in my opinion, cfa books should be read first since we still have ample of time for the exam. maybe we should read schwester notes when we r falling short of time.

Hi dude!! same here.. registered on 15th n waiting for the material.. even i had to choose Kathmandu as the test center but i hope delhi hc will allow CFA to conduct the exam in mumbai. i hav heard that the hearing on the litigation is in oct... lets keep our fingers crossed.. so whr do u put up in?
