Hello Nitin,
As is with all of the IIMs, ours also offers you a PGD in Management. The first year is common to all students in the course and the entire second year has electives barring a few papers that are compulsory.
So each student can be unique in his own choice of subjects and also create the necessary profile for the nature of job he/she wants.
as for the details about the placemetns please go through the institute website and have a look at the placment report. Thats all we can say now. ALso by March first week you will see the repor for this year's placements so wait up till then.

And any important criteria that they ll be loking for in a GD ?
Well the GD duration at IIM Indore is one of the longest and we had smaller groups of 8 ppl. SO rest assured you get enough time to speak your mind out.
At the same time since its a case study, most participants have the same ideas to begin with. Whats important is how u develop ur ideas and form opinions over the course of the GD. cause after 10 - 12 mins the poitns sorta dry up. and the total duration of the GD is arnd 20 mins plus.
In a GD there is no specific thing that they may look for, just the routine things to keep in mind that all of u will be told by your institutes.

I am planning to write about starting up a publishing house, I understand what problems it may attract and virtually profs will jump with array of questions, ...but I really want to go ahead with it, I can answer 'why i want to start up a publishing house'..but... I am short of preparation on 'hw i am going to do that' I have ideas but nt a structured thught..cud u seniors hel with that how part?...and see! ne honest and silly question ...
See I have a dream (right)...i can explain why this?...i can give them slight ideas..not dilligently...how to achieve my dream...and tell them how i will be benifited by pursuing a MBA frm iim indore...do i need to know more?

well from what u say yu already know about your dream you should be able to handle the wuestions... at the same time just think of other players in the indutsry today and try to undersatnd how they work.
that will help u answer questions about ur competitors and how your company will be different. Remember they are not judging you for a business plan they are just trying to know why you want that MBA and whether you want it bad enough.

You may revert back to us and confirm the revised schedule by return mail.
Please note that if the proposed Bandh is called off or postponed, the GD & PI will be conducted as per the original schedule on Monday, 12th February 2007, 2:00 p.m.

obviously you have to write the dates on which you are not available before they come up with a date for you yaar!!!

I have a problem....My IIMI GD/PI is clashing with that of IIMK (27th Feb)......Though I have mailed to admission dept. Indore (some 10 days back) about this, I haven't recieved any reply from their end.......I called them some 5 days back, the person who picked up the phone said they might not have got the chance to see my mail and will do the needful and also told me not to call again..........I am in a dilemma now whether to call again to request my date change as the time is passing by.........or simply to wait for some more time.......
Plz suggest........is there anybody else with similar case????
