I have a problem....My IIMI GD/PI is clashing with that of IIMK (27th Feb)......Though I have mailed to admission dept. Indore (some 10 days back) about this, I haven't recieved any reply from their end.......I called them some 5 days back, the person who picked up the phone said they might not have got the chance to see my mail and will do the needful and also told me not to call again..........I am in a dilemma now whether to call again to request my date change as the time is passing by.........or simply to wait for some more time.......
Plz suggest........is there anybody else with similar case????

Usually they'll reply within a week or 10 days. Atleast thats what they did to me. They took arnd 10 days, but they did help. Don't worry, they will take care of it. And there is still time till 27th. So don't worry abt it.
now you have to send a mail to the following e-mail address pgpadmission iimidr ac in, stating your problem and telling them about the bandh... I did the same and withihn an hour got the following reply..

I am from Bangalore have an I call. My GD PI date is on 14th Feb evening 2(It was postponed to this date cos of Bandh).
I went to check the center PESIT College. I just want to share some info regarding that.
First things first there is a PES Polytechnic college nearby but that is not the center, I got conned by that college. The center is PESIT college which is on ring road in Banashankari 3rd stage.
Guys I would suggest you leave atleast 1 and 1/2 hour early in case of a morning session or 2 hrs early in case of evening session cos thats a traffic prone area and I would suggest to go by call taxi cos the roads in that part of the city are very dusty.
After you reach the college ask for the MBA block where most probably our interviews will be held(I got this info from authorities there). The MBA block is a blue building at the back of the PESIT college. The official there gave me info that interviews on Monday are cancelled.
So thats the update as of now. People having interviews on 13th do post ur experiences they would be really helpful.
Are we required to carry a separate resume of ours for the interview.........

Hello, NO you are not required to carry the resume with you. As the form contains a lot more information.
Pls dont forget to carry your admit card filled in form with photgraph marksheets (10th onwards) Cetificates received any other testimonails and credential providng documents WorkEX certificate for those with work experince.

I have a similar problem, as my dates for IIM I and IIM CAL interviews are also clashing (march 15th), and I still haven't contacted anyone to rectify the situation. Could you give me the contact number of the admissions office at Indore?

How is the environment for entrepreneurship at Indore? How does the insti support its students who want to strike out on their own? Is there a cell dedicated to this? Does the inst help in getting funding when somebody wants to start out?
Also any idea how many passouts actually started their own businesses? Here I mean not just immediately but even maybe 5 years on...

Hello, I feel that IIM Indore has all the infrastructure and systems in place to promote and supprt an entrepreunrial idea/venture of its student and alumni. Yes, there are cells and a committee that does guide students when they have something in mind. Many passouts have gone on to become entrapreneurs but as u mentined earlier... they didnt do it straight out of IIM I. THey spent some time in the industry and then came out with their proposals. As for the part on searching for the funding, I am sure the enrepreuneurship cell has something to offer to students who are interested and have a plan they are interested in pursuing.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes I did read about the Entrepreneurship & Consulting Club on the insti website. Also read they get entrepreneurs to speak about the challenges of doing a business etc..

the waitlists issued by the IIMs change every year ./.. last year we expected IIM L to have a huge waitlist being cleaered but it didnt.. whereas IIM K called those who were not on the waitilist and offered them admits. U can never say anything about all this... Keep the faith for now and belive in yourself... wait for the results and take a call then... there is still a long time dont get nervous... these 2 months are importnat to u... dont lose focus on your goals and what u want and where u see urself in a few years./..
