Believe me nothing is out of bounds in an iIM Interview and the best part is you are NOT penalised for not knowing something. So basically its like a clean slate and all you need to do is write enough and leave wnough good thoughts with the panel that they smile when they mark your scores
One more querry . I am average , period Average in academics, average in sports average in interests, avarage in work ex Do IIMs like an average guy
I am the guy who you can see everywhere but wont notice unless you want to see him To me , thats my strength , But will IIMs look at it that way .. Do they need a average guy to make sure everybody s represented 😃

Seniors please have a look at my brief profile and suggest what i can highlight in my PI and wat kind of questions i will be asked seeing my dual degree and from extra curriculars.
Very genuine doubt! But dont worry, you ll find many of your seniors in IIMs to be average in every respect but they have confidence and know (fairly) why they are here. Remember IIMs are not looking for extremely intelligent, high-funda, tod-fod guys; they just want matured people who can add value and do justice to their life after 2 years in IIM.
Just stay confident and admit truly what you have doe till now. You should be able to justify your acads, extra-currics or anything else.
Dont worry at all in this respect. Yours truly also falls in this category
hey SnoozenBooze.... dude first of all remove all doubts frm ur mind... considering tht u hv cracked one of the hardest exam on planet ( yeah thts wht they say !!), U R NO AVG GUY !! strengths n weakness completely depend on the way u present them.. i guess u hv done many things, so u can always leverage tht fact in the intrvws.. u mite be the all rounder IIMs look for !! so once again i say, spend some time on thinking abt the answers on personal q's u may be asked... there r no perfect or correct answers which nebody can tell u !!

Hey Snooze, first of all lemme tell u that U r not averge. U are normal and thats what each one of us is. There is no one here who isnt normal but exceptional in their way own way. Every team needs the best batsman, best bowler and best all rounder all topped with the right leadership. (too much gyaan i think but what the heck)
So the IIMs just need the normal guy next door. Rather humility and simplicity is something that i persoanlly feel has helped me win many a hearts in life. So thats the way u shud be and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Believe in yourself and what you have achiveed. Everything else my friend shall fall in place
Puneet, you have lots to highlight in your PI. Highlight anything with which you are more comfortable. They really appreciate if you have something different from rest of the junta and you do have:).
About the questions, be thorough with your work-ex and acads of both degrees since your work-ex is not of a long duration. Also, there is high probability of the question why MBA after a dual degree, And general knowledge related to your extra-currics.
Finally, I would again like to stress that you can be asked anything in your interview. Be prepared for all kinds of situations. Read the other posts in the thread to know more about the quetions in the interview.
@ all call getters ATB. well, i am an engineer with 19 months of work EX. But the problem is i worked with MBA prep coaching for all the time. and i heard that it is very difficult to defend this kind of work ex.
Any suggetions. @IIM -I ,L seniors. if any of your batch mate is from this industry , then pls give me his/her contact , so i will be able to make it up.

we hv a guy in our batch with work-ex with one of the MBA classes...so i'll ask him to fwd his contact..but in case u hv any general query then post it here...it'll benefit all..

When u prepare for this answer remeber the following advantages: 1) IIM Indore is the youngest and thus the fastest grwoing.. 2) IIM Indore has a strong culture for entrepreneurship breeding 3) IIM Indore has grown dynamically with respect to international exposure and exchange programmes are an important step. 4) IIM Indore has a lot of extra curricualrs and Co curiculars that allow its particiapnts to take up various responsibilites and learn by experience. 5) There is a strong community feeling with the students being callled participants and they having an active role in almost all affairs of the college.
lionkiller...tho such things r never known..the weightage for academic performance shud be the same irrespective of whether u r a fresher or exp guy...there'll just be add'l weightage for work-ex
in my post (#77) wht i meant was tht they dont expect 2-3 yrs work ex guys to remember everything they did in their bachelors especially if their exp is in a diff field...but tht in no way shud stop u frm preparing for academic q's...

Although, i know we need to be prepared for any topic that comes our way but any inclination of Indore faculty.
Also, in case studies do the faculty prefers giving some abstract situations or are the topics more related to some current affair ?? For example,-- Discuss the plan considering the fact that you are juniors and your general manager is leaving the company. Arrange a farewell party, and present the plan after discussing within the group. -- or any current situation kind of situation like-- You are a CEO of any telecommunication major like airtel and what will be your plans to counter/negotiate HUTCH overtake by any other telecommincation giant.
