It generally starts from feb to mid march as Indore has a higher number of calls and we aso visit cities twice. (last year they cam to mumbai twice) in mumbai mine was in the second week of march.

Hey venkat,
though the CAT score is considered as part of your total score for the final admission. But I dont think a sectional scpre of 98.99 will be a dampner in any way. at the same time I can assure youu that not all callgetters with great scores make it here and many callgetters with lower percentiles get here.
Secondly let me assure you that NOTHING and i mean NOTHING can take away your seat except you.

Tarun, refer to previous posts in this thread to know about the questions for your kind of profile. They can ask any kind of questions- work-ex, acads, general awareness and/or interests, but one thing for sure is they do ask about acads. So be thorough with that especially in ones you scored less.
Venkat, your CAT percentile doesnt matter for your final convert. I had also mentioned in one of my previous posts that extremely high percentile might have a little edge but lower scores are never at any disadvantage. After they ve given a call, only your performance in GD/PI matters.

i am currently working in aricent(formerly hughes/flextronics) and have 6 months of work experience. i did graduation in electrical engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and passed with 72.5%. Problems that i am facing are
1)I am getting very less amount of time to prepare and i am totally confused whether i should concentrate on college acads(electrical) or current job profile(software/computers)???
2)The only extra curricular activity that i participated in college was sports so is it going to be counted against me????
3)i am good at Current affairs but poor about business info. any pointer to increase business info???

Hello,
as far as concentrating more on either, i wud vote on balacing both. First learn/know about the work you do with the relevant subjects. then move on to subjects that were ur favourites. that way u will cover a bit of both. Next study well the industry u r in and the companies, competitors and what advantages and disadvantages ur company has over the others.
Sports is one of the best way of bringing out team skills, leadership, thinking/performing under pressure and certain other skills that are also important in business. Use it to your advantage.
CUrrent affairs is great. To increase little knowledge on business just talk to a couple of people around you friends, family or friends of friends so that they tell you what business actually entails.
