my cmat feb score is 236 AIR 4032 open cat home university
cat score is 88.63
i have converted SITM and SCIT
call from TISS-HRM
so do i have any chance in Mumbai colleges pgdm like sies, dalmia, kj we school or should i go for SITM
have 2years work ex
want to do MBA this year
confused not sure what to do

Somaiya looks a a bit tough. Join TISS if you get it.
If not TISS, you can wait and appear this year again. Provided that you are willing to wait for MBA from a good bschool.

@suparna17 Christ would be a better choice. Consider the following points while you decide
1. Exposure provided by college
2. Fees component & location
3. Feedback about placements & profiles ( just dont go by the LPA alone).

Hi Guys, just want to ask to those puys who are already working in an IT industry after an MBA, please tell me is their any risk management kind of profile offered in IT Industry?I am planning to give CFA or FRM in December and i want to work in IT companies only because of prior work experience. Will it be beneficial if i go for FRM?

Their job is to assist client teams they work with to analyze risk and finance. Once the analysts decipher the data, they come up with creative an innovative programs that reduce risk and create capital. A good risk analyst also has to turn out reports's showing the proposed plan of action for exiting and potential clients by compiling charts, graphs and other presentation materials!!!!! ATB

Seniors, please help me. This year I applied with 88 %ile in XAT, gave a few interviews, havent been able to convert even one till. I worked for 3 months in a company and then took a break for 6 months to pursue a personal passion which did not quite work out, now Im going back to my old job. So suppose now i appear for CAT next year, get a good percentile and go for interviews, would this 6 month gap in my profile hinder my chances for conversion, or should I forget those 3 months experience and show only the experience I have, starting now joining the likes of guys who have not been called by companies for 9 months post graduation. Please help. It svery confusing 😞
@AimIIMAC as far as i knw it wnt hamper yr chances... & do show your correct work-ex, coz in many institute thy do have weightage fr work-ex while shrtlisting.. like in IIML ( .1 x no. of months ; 2 is the upper limit ) ...
I don't know if it's too early or too late to ask this doubt, but surely need some help.
I am a OHU student for CMAT with a score of 269...Got just 1 call from GIM through XAT which I Knw will not be converted...low in CAT too.
I am 3.5 yrs experinced IT guy...open cat male engg...I may be too optimistic stating this too...with the given CMAT score I remain with few colleges at hand (KJ,Sydenham,WE)...
Won't be having any other chance for an MBA..n I just want to do it...

The course started last year. So, it would take few years for the course to come to the same level as that of 1 Yr course at GLIM.
Never the less, you stand a chance to get a call from the college at your score. So, you may consider applying to it. And then decide on joining based on your options after you get all your converts.

b.tech(IT) 2012 passout- screwed up big time..had 24 arrears mainly due to lack of interest ...somehow was able to clear 20 arrears during my last sem and got 6.60 cgpa
cat 2012-82.40 percentile.....only prepared for one month before the exam....i believe with proper preparation i can get good percentile in cat 2013....since i have no ex....it will become 2 years gap,when i sit for interviews next year....i have already converted bimtech pgdm,have to attend ifmr and bim gd/pi...my parents are forcing me to take up admission this year itself,but i want to try for iims.....can i get into iim with a bad graduation mark and also with 2 years gap.....any help would be much appreciated.

If you want to go for second time, have a job for backup, and then try. If you don't have a job, I don't see any reason why you should sit for another whole year.
If you convert any of the said bschools, make your mind and join this year itself.

@kimikarun I guess you mean backlogs.
I don't have knowledge about IIM's selection criteria including backlogs but most of the IIMs give some percentage of marks to graduation as a part of their selection criteria.

regarding backlogs...only IIMs can clear...but as such ur CGPA is low....as rightly said by @banu2312 ...most iims hv wieghtage for grad score..except may be IIMC............so in that case u may lose out..better to confirm abt backlogs from soem IIM students/alumni
