How can i show my Work experience as family business to them,i dont get any salary slip but have IT Return for my proprietorial business?Also I want to know about GMAT exam fees and procedure and what are my chances in both CAT and GMAT next year if i get a good score.

get a work ex certificate signed with a seal - this with it returns is enough...
what about working with an NGO? does that qualify as something substantial enough in profile addition?
p.s. i have a very bad habit of always thinking of the worst case scenariomaybe my pessimism is one of the causes of my under achievements :(
maybe my pessimism is one of the causes of my under achievements :(Working in NGO qualifies as a good value addition to your profile. 😃 However, it doesnt get categorized under work experience unless it is full time and paid. So, mostly people show it under social activities/contribution.
I will suggest to take it as a challenge to overcome the pessimist thoughts coming in your mind and put your best efforts to win over it.

Mostly organizations that are into social work/ initiatives , NGOs, social responsibility cells of companies. Dont have much idea about packages.

kindly guide me-- i wanted to do a Mba( HR), for that i left my job in sept'11 but i got selected for NMIMS pharma MBA through NMAT
i had worked in a pvt US MNC for 2 yrs into pharma -diabetes sector, I am really confused about joining this course as it would again bring me back to pharma whereas i wished to broaden my field, i have 75% in my b.pharma. what should i do? join this course or again prepare?

If you are determined to get into MBA-HR then there is no point in joining MBA-Pharma. You are thinking right on the lines of preparing one more year and then get into B-Schools that are known for MBA in HR.
Joining MBA-Pharma might seize the opportunities to get into HR later.

Iam a 2011 batch passout, Working in a IT firm since 10 months, The Problem is very common, I dont like the work et al, every Monday I feel as a fresher. Its not that Iam technically not well versed and I dont have any personal problems with my team/manager, infact my team is very supportive. But I dont find any motivation for work. And I cant even ignore it. This is also hampering my cat preparations as I always feel unmotivated.
Iam planning to quit my job and join my dad's business, We have small size watch manufacturing and retail business. My dilemma is whether should i quit, will it hamper my chances of getting into a good b-school, as my profile is not that good. Or should i continue with job.
X -- 78% (SSC)
Diploma - 74% (MSBTE)
B.E(I.T.) - 65% (Mumbai University)

Yeah i understand the issue , problem of motivation can be one of the things effecting work life .. You can go ahead with your plans of joining ur family business but make sure you have it as full time work ex being counted :)
Secondly since its ur personal decision to leave then i cant comment .. Its always good to do something you are interested in .

i am good in maths and without any coaching and preparations i gave CAT 2011 and scored 82.53 percentile
as my engg is in petroleum i was totally interested in school of petroleum management,(SPM) PDPU,Gandhinagar....
i filled 5 forms.IFMR, NIRMA, KJ SOMAIYA IB, GREAT LAKES IEMR,GURGAON. AND SPM Gandhinagar ....
i prepared for gd and pi with the help of my friend called ANGEL
i did my best and converted IFMR, NIRMA ,GREAT LAKES IEMR waitlisted in KJ SOM-IB
but very very badly ,,disappointed from myself that i couldnt convert SPM GANDHINAGAR
life takes us .... where life wants ....
not got my dream college....so not happy ....

I dont know much abt SPM Gandhinagar but the colleges you have converted are decent enough for getting into.IFMR,GREAT LAKES,KJ SOM are good opportunity I can say.

Nope i am rejected at all.Dnt knw abt waiting list of IIM Trichy,Kashipur,Raipur.
I am 24 and did Engineering , and instead of common route taken by many of the Engineers ie , going to a SW company , i took up Trading and now i am getting 1 Lakh pm ..many of the fellow classmates who got placements in well known MNC's who are SW programmers are getting 30k-35k pm ...
Now i am confused whether to have this Trading as my career or go to programming jobs by going to .Net programming classes in weekends and getting a job ..
( I am preparing for Bank and Govt exams , suppose if i get any Bank/Govt jobs surely i will go there and do this Trading as side business )

Solely depends on your career interests. If you are enjoying trading as career and wish to pursue it in long run as well, then there is no point in going for .Net classes.
However, if you wish a change in career path by getting into software industry then you should go for .Net classes.

I am working in IT (TCS) for past 3.5 years and feeling stagnated in my job.Now i have got through IIM rohtak and wish to join it to give some much needed boost my career.
But the problem is i got married 3 months back, and doing MBA after marriage.Dont know how good a idea that is.
2nd point sending 10 Lcs on MBA and leaving current jor for 2 years means another 10 lakhs .
Is going for MBA the right decison.
1 more question why are the hostels compulsry in some of the big B schools , even when some 1 does not need it?

It is because there are lot of group activities that happen in B-School both at curriculum and extra curricular level. Having everyone in campus helps in the same and ensures better participation of all.

I graduated in 2011 from a not so good college. I joined some IT company and had to leave with only six months of experience (where I was just a trainee and practically did nothing) I have been looking for a good job since then (been jobless for almost three months now). I am planning to give CAT12. I am afraid if this holds me back from getting into top colleges. My profile is

PU - 76.33%
BE(CS) - 72.14%
Also I was a Google Summer of Code Student and I am actively looking for a job.
Please help me with some ideas as to what I can do now.

For doing an MBA,u need to be in an environment where you would have to learn things from surroundings and in a hostel,you will get a perfect ambiance for your growth and in building perspectives.I believe you should go for an mba from IIM Rohtak and ask the admission office whether they provide hostels for married couples as many institutes do provide this facility to live with your spouse.

This shall not stop you from making to top colleges. There have been many people who have cracked PIs of top colleges with few months of gap in their resume.
Dont think about it a lot, prepare well, score high and rest shall fall in place

Can i get into podar or NM, are admissions to bms only based on 12th marks ???
Also, how whats the average packge offered to a BMS student from a reputed college ??
