No need to worry a lot 😃
Just drop a mail to HR's email id ( given in your offer letter ) and update them with the new email id of yours. 😃
Mr Ar SaysDoes bpo expereince counts while taking admission in any reputed B-school?
If it is full time and paid, then yes ! 😃

1. It would help but neither in scholarship nor fee exemption in my knowledge. It would help you in terms of differentiating your profile from lot others. :)
2. Depends on the college you get in. However, as said earlier you will have a different profile than many others, you stand a good chance in placements.
3. Again the ballpark figure is dependent on college you get into . You can check the same from website of colleges you are targetting to get into.

Yes, you can get into top 25 B-Schools if you get a good score and perform well in GDPI. Your past record is not a hindrance except few colleges which pay very high weightage to past academics.
All the best.
navinseth SaysCan some one please suggest me some B schools, If any!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi
Please post the query here for a quicker and appropiate response http://www.pagalguy.com/discussions/2011-which-b-schools-should-you-apply-to-25070653
You know, when you're young and elders tell you... yaar, bachpan mein jitne maze kar sakte ho karlo... I didn't realize what it meant, back then. But now I get what they meant...
Academic background
Graduated humanities in 2010 (top 10% of the class), great extra-circ. with number of add-on certificate programs.
10th- avg.
12th- below avg.; Non-med, didn't want to take, but parents pressure...
Current situation- Worked 1 year, solid organization 😃 Then left..
Exam Season-
Gave TISS, no idea how to place myself :-(
Gave SNAP, went decent but didn't apply to any top ranking college, considering poor grades in 12th.
Options-
a) Join coaching and prepare for 2012 CAT (weekend, while working weekdays).
b) Prep for GMAT-> Give -> Then 1 year work-ex more.
c) Have faith in fate and wait for TISS result.
What I want for myself
MA / MBA in Human Resources & Labour relations.
Advise greatly appreciated.
Hi All
I have 7 years work exp in IT. I am working as SAP admin. I am a technical specialist and and an expert in my field. But i do not have a leadership/ team leading experience.
I have above 70% all through my academics
I looked around and most IIM's, ISB and other top institutes are looking for leadership and management background from the applicants. But i am lacking it as i am a technical specialist.
Just wanted to know if this will be a major problem for me if i plan to apply to IIM/ISB/XLRI/Greatlakes
I am interested in marketing.
I guess there may be others with same doubts. So please shed some light on this..
Hi all,
I am new to this forum. I am a MBA aspirant.
I carry along 3+ yrs of experience in Technical domain. I have done my BE in electronics and cimmonucation and currently working as Lead Engineer in Tokyo, Japan. I bring along product and process knowledge from companies like General Motors, Motorola, HCL tech and Sony.
I have always wanted to be a part of the layer involved in customer client interaction. And so Sales and Marketing would be the domain I would be looking forward to get into.I am also targetting a premiere institue only for the same, which can put me into a really desired profile and salary.
As of now I am completly confused that should I persue for a 2 yrs regular MBA and hence prepare for CAT OR I should go for an executive mba.
I am not and IIT'ian scholar, but I stand quiet above the average in academics. I am a very quick learner and am quite analytical and good with numbers.
1.What are my college options if I plan to go for Regular MBA
2. What are my options if I am planning for an executive MBA after 5 yrs experience from institutes like IIM or ISB.Will I get the desired ROI and profile?
I would be glad if someone could reply up and help me shape my career.I really need a direction as of now, so that I can start working towards it.
Thanks in advance.....
Ashav Kaushik

Buddy
It wont be an issue for getting into IIM/ISB/XL/GLIM. However, getting into marketing would be tough as generally after this much amount of work ex , companies would prefer to have you in roles where they can leverage your work ex rather than putting you in entirely new role where they cannot make much use of your experience.

1. When going for regular MBA, you can target either of top 8-10 B-Schools.
2. Will suggest to go for executive MBA either from Ivy League or ISB/IIM-A. You might or might not get profile of your choice as generally after Executive MBA companies would prefer to have you in roles where they can leverage your work ex. ROI, yes if you talk in long term perspective and no if you are seeing it in short term only in monetary terms.

Few suggestions buddy :
1. Start making your resume in the best way possible. Get it reviewed by your peers and seniors and improve on it.
2. Send your refined and updated resume for roles which match your profile which is getting projected in your resume and not to a different role.
3. Simultaneously, start working on communication skills both written and verbal as they are really important.

Yes, they do count teaching as valid work ex. Only condition is that it should be full time and paid teaching job.

+ Not muh of extra-curricular activities. How do I explain this in the PIs?
Rarely there are people who do nothing till the point they reach in career where you are. So, introspect in detail and try t find out things that you have done, no matter how small they are, jot them down in a paper and try to come up with an answer where they can showcase your abilities and qualities.
Once done with the answer, you can get it reviewed by your peers/seniors.
All the best.

Hey I meant I do not have any certificates or awards to show. I have very unique hobbies and other strengths that would surely help.
Can u share how marks are calculated after PI. I s there some fixed weighatge like out of 10 for extra-curriculars; another 10 for acads. Or is it that all this is accounted for in the PI.

Way of calculating marks in PI differ from college to college with difference in weightage to different parameters. So, not possible to generalize the way.
And do not worry a lot about certifications/awards. Not having them wont be a big issue till rest things are handled well by you in interview.

Sorry, details cannot be shared with any aspirant as such unless the process is over.
I have 4 years of work experience as of today. Is it worth doing a full time MBA in India..???? If yes, please suggest the institutes I should try for.
