Hi Guys, I am in the process of completing my application. I just want some clarity on following thif. What is the difference between these two things. Successful leader have a clear sense of purpose. What is your Statement of Purpose? & What do you propose to do in your career in the short and long term?
Do not you think these two things are quite similar to each other. I believe the first question means "WHY TAS?" and second question means "WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?"
Kudos to all those who have already filled and submitted the form. Man ... that was quick ........ I am still trying to complete my essays .... I will need to rush to meet tomorrow's deadline ........

WHY TAS would itself explain my goals?
What do you say guys?
Nishant,
SOP would say why TAS... ST and LT goals would say what do u want to achieve in the near future and life respectively. TAS might be a means to achieve them (there can be several other means for that matter) but should not be a goal in itself.
Finally submitted my app, wait for april 10 starts i guess......
anyone knows what the procedure was last yr, was it similar to the current yr.
When i applied in 2008, the application and a chairman's GD round were considered together. I remember there were 36 people in US for that round and then 3 made it to the mumbai round!!

yup its a long long wait per the previous years thread the process was similar...
So you mean that there is not going to be anymore shortlist till the GD happens??
I dunno... I guess one case can be that they might be shortlisting the applicants based on their profile like they do in a B-school... but that seems a rare possibility coz most of the people who are applying would surely be qualifying the madatory criteria unless someone is fudging data... so my best bet would be that everyone with proper data should get an interview call... lets wait n watch
Need a small help from you puys. Under the Tests section of the TAS Application form, should we mention the AWA score in the row titled Analytical OR should this be left blank? Also what does TWE stand for in the section. Please help.
