Going by the info in the previous year's thread ..... it looks like the next round will be conducted in a single day that will consist of two things ..... 1) Chairman's GD --- Elimination round 2) Case Study presentation --- Elimination round
For people based outside India (country specific), they were called to a common location for this round ( in their country depending on the number of people selected) ...... they would confirm the location in the coming days .....
Hope this helps ...
Cheers Pritesh
Hey,
Can someone tell me how would the case studies be conducted for people based out of India at the moment? Will they be called to a common location? The list says the location is yet to be determined.
I attended the workshop in Delhi. The reason for conducting workshops is to make the in-house candidates aware of the selection process so that they can be better prepared for it.
All the shortlisted candidates will be sent the case study and the format. But only the people clearing the Chairman's GD round will get to present their case study. The other rounds that will follow will be IRIS (an interview) and Director's round of interview. The process is similar to that of previous years.
They also told about the TAS training, post-TAS life and showed some videos of the rural stints of last year's TAS guys.
TAS training: 3 weeks induction + 2 weeks group visits 3 business projects of 15 weeks each (2 in India, 1 international) Rural/Community project of 7 weeks
Then, they also conducted mock Chairman's GD and gave feedback.
I hope this helps! ATB to all the shortlisted candidates.

Thanks a bunch Gauri. Can you elaborate (in detail, if you don't mind) on the kind of feedback that they gave for the mock GD. What are they looking for specifically?
Also, what is this IRIS interview suppose to be all about? I understand it is non-elimination but what kind of questions do they ask?
Thanks Gauri for letting us know. Too bad I missed the workshop. Did they mention if IRIS will be held on the same day? I am guessing not.
I believe IRIS and the Director's round would be clubbed together (like GD and Case study). This part of the selection process is going to be in Mumbai. That is my understanding.
You did clear some of the confusion sourrounding the elimination process
Did they say anything about weightage of GMAT Scores ahead?
An also what kinda GD topic did they give?
I ll be attending the workshop at Bangalore, if any questions you guys missed out at delhi lemme know?
Thanks in advance
Also, can you please check with them if they will e-mail the material out to people who are onsite? Or if they have any other arrangement in place for folks who can't attend. Thank again!
Congrats to all whose names have been shortlisted. Please let me know if people in the US location have received any emails from the TAS office regarding any workshops or any sort of communication.

Dont Worry Xrometh i ll try and get all your doubts cleared when i attend the workshop.
Bijo and Ritesh, will meet you at the Bangalore venue directly on 19th.
By the way do any of you think that GMAT scores used for cut-off would have any weightage going forward ?
I would want to assume that they do not consider it in the next rounds .....
And I hope they not ..... I have avg acads and GMAT score ..... so I hope In the next rounds they consider our performance and stress not much on the acads and GMAT .... just my opinion ....
Cheers Pritesh

Any further shorlistting will be done purely on your performace in the round you are in and nothing else....

That is what I would assume too. But for the final selection they might look at the overall strength of your candidature which would include your performance, appraisals, academics, extra curricular et all. So let's say your academics and GMAT are average but you did exceptionally well in some other areas/rounds then they still might select you.
IMO academics like others would be one of the things they would look at. A good score might strengthen your application but an average score should not weaken it if you perform well in other areas.
