Tas 2010

Guys/Girls,

Any idea how many out of the total shor listed candidates wud be picked up finally? Any specific nr? Seniors can u plz throw some light?

Thanks

Hi...TAS process doesnt have any fixed numbers specified for recruitment. I guess its about how many make it through the process on the day of recruitment... thats what was said during the interaction and presentation ...

Hi Guys...I am new to this thread. I am working for TCS in Kentucky, USA.
congrats to all those who have cleared the 2nd round for TAS and thnks to Silver for the info he has provided.

I exchanged mails with Dharna(TAS SPOC) and she said that she will be sharing the presentation on the workshops conducted in India. If any one of us receive, lets share it on this forum too.

I have couple of queries if some1 can answer:
1. Has anyone received any case study till now or everyone will get it on 23-Apr?
2. This ques may sound silly but : in US if all selected associates will be called at a centralized location say Boston/NJ, will TAS bear the expenses or will be individual?

TAS will bear the expenses, you ll be asked to raise ticket in UX against a particulat Won number

I have received a mail from Dharna, wanted to share, may be helpful.

Hii all,
Have one query--- Initially, they had some age criteria(27 years), but later on they changed it to 2-6 yrs. of work ex. does anyone knows, whether age is the criteria in shortlisting or not?

Amit

Hi amit.. yes the age criteria does exist... am not very sure what is the upper limit but between 27 and 28 seems to be acceptable

Hi .. last year few TCS seniors i interacted with at TAS told me that TCS bears the expense for all travel, to locations within the geography or travel to India.. best would be for a last year TAS manager to throw some light on this.. but am very sure that i was told TCS took the hit on such expenses.. last year also i guess the location was NJ in USA..

Any idea, when will they schedule the GD/Case Study round? Will all the centers have this round on the same day? Does TAS ppl inform about the schedule in the workshops?

Amit

Hello All

Question for those who had applied for TAS last year:
Can you elaborate your experience on the Case Study presentation .... any key parameters to take note of etc .....

Also, would you have a soft copy of last year's case study by any chance?

Cheers
Pritesh

Pritesh,

There seems to be some kinda protocol not to divulge the details... if they could they would have already done that... n remember even Vaibhav refused to let us know the exact topic...

keep patience... its matter of a week... enjoy till then ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

frnds, in last several posts, we have discussed abt Chairman GD and Case study round...now we hv gd understanding of @least wht the process wil be for these 2 rounds.... but regarding third round i.e. IRIS (interview to map leadership capabilities), can anybody elaborate a bit more ?

IMO academics like others would be one of the things they would look at. A good score might strengthen your application but an average score should not weaken it if you perform well in other areas.

Thnks Puys that more or less gives me some cofidence.

I was just wondering whether for the case study and GD they wld call all 216 people to Mumbai or will it be location wise.

Coz the city of processing has been classified as per location and if they do it city wise Mumbai cld become slightly crowded compared to other cities as there are 76 TASpirants there.

Can any of the earliesr Taspirants throw some light on this.

How does it make a difference? They basically divide people in groups of 8-9. As long as there are the same number of people in a group, what difference does it make what the total number of people are?

BTW they won't call all 216 to Mumbai. People are spread all over the world and they will setup regional centers for this round. It's only for the interview that everyone comes to Mumbai. But by then the number is down to around 15.

Can Anyone provide me with email id of Dharna Dhamija, the TAS SPOC ?

Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

You know this is something I am curious about too. I guess everyone is more focused on the immediate task at hand. Last year aspirants and the workshops would be a good source of information for this and the final interview round.

I hope those who are planing on attending the workshops can get some info for us!

Consider the tab 'IRIS: Assessment of Potential'

IRIS must be a standarized evaluation process through a set of exercises and questions. The objective is to let the interviewer get to know the interviewee better.
As per the tas-inhouse website it is a non-elimination round.

Probably, the output of IRIS helps the evaluators frame questions during the Director's round of interview.
