Tas 2010

Thanks Charuji :)

The link that you posted definitely explains 'what' will be tested using IRIS. Now can you or TAS seniors share (or even a brief idea is also ok) 'How' IRIS will be used to test all those skill areas ?

Sorry for asking such details. But thoda comfortable lagega agar pata ho toh πŸ˜‰

Guys is there any dress code for the workshops? the GD's and the interviews?

hey guys, I am sorry to share the mobile number of Dharna in one of my post. However I request you, not to contact Dharna on her mobile rathar use 022-66657448 (office number), as it gets a bit( a lot) messy for her.

Thanks & Regards,
Mayank

HI Bijo,

Thanks for sharing the mail.
Is this a generic e-mail that is sent to all Shortlisted candidates or was it sent to you in reply of any enquiry mail??

How many Puys have recieved this mail?

Puys,

Looking at the schedule mentioned in the mail, my gut feeling is that we are in for a huge batch this years...
They have reserved 3 days for this year's final round compared to just a single day last year... :drinking:

@Ashu - That is true πŸ˜ƒ This is cool news man!!

@Ashu_tas
Amen !!

You derived a logical conclusion.

@metastate
It seems like a generic email. I received it and so did another person from my account.

@Metastate - I guess this is a generic email. I am in the US and I have got the email as well.

For the benefit of all those who were / would not be able to attend the workshop:

I was a part of the workshop conducted by Rahul and Dharna at Bangalore.

Started with an overview of the TATA group.
Some slides and videos of TAS stints.
Explain the whole selection processes in detail

Chairman's GD:

8-10 candidates in a group. Each case would last for 10 min. It would be kind of a role play where each candidate would get a chance to be a chairman and present a situation (case) to the group which would try and arrive at a conclusion.
First minute: Chairman to read the case (situation) and return the sheet to the panelist. (S)He should be able to remember the details well.
Next 8 minutes - Chairman to project the case to the group. Group to discuss the case.
Last 1 minute - Chairman to conclude.

Case Study Presentation:
Would be sent to everyone by 23rd.
Time to present 15 min.
Format would also be mailed. No cosmetic changes allowed to the format.

IRIS:
Psychometric Test sorts. Some external folks would interview you. Nothing much revealed about this.

Directors Interview:
You could be grilled on anything and everything.

Other Details:

Over 700 eligible candidates this time.
216 shortlisted.
Hyderabad added as another location for the process.
We had 5-6 mock GD's. They use the same cases in all workshops i believe. Shall post the cases once the workshop is done in mumbai, else would be a spolier for those folks.

Hope this helps!!

Cheers,
Ritesh

Great Info @dagaritesh! Quick question on the email we got from TAS -

3. We will be mailing across the case study for Round II. By 23rd April. For this purpose each selected candidate is requested to provide us with information on their candidature. You have to mail in your reply by as "TAS 2009_Yes_Name" by 21st April 11 a.m. IST. To [email protected]

So if I had not attended last year process, I still need to send TAS 2009_NO_MYNAME - correct? Has anyone sent the reply already?

Even I was wondering about this ....... I will shoot this question to Dharna via email as well as ask her in the Mumbai Workshop ....

Great Info yaar ....
I also talked to Vaibhav ...... will just add some more details based on the discussion:
1) Chairman's GD: Can be anything .... from a business case to a regular day to day case ......... Everyone gets to be a chairman once (at least here) .....

2) Case Study presentation: as already pointed out by Ritesh ..... it will be of arnd 15 minutes ..... it will be a 2-3 page Case Study ...... need to prepare the material in the given format ..... And then get grilled by the panelist on your presentation ....

3) Interview round: (Dream round :drinking:) Vaibhav indicated it varies from person to person ..... One cannot prepare for it .... In the end your logic and rational will matter .....

Well we hav got a lot of information about the process this year ... compared to the info present in last year's thread ... these workshops hav also helped clarify a number of doubts ....

Well, guess it's time to rock and roll ..... Delhiites are the first in line ....

Any Mumbaiites attending the workshop ..????

Cheers
Pritesh

Puys attending the workshops in India - Please try to get an answer for this:

1. The mail from TAS indicates there will be three final Director's Round of Interview in Mumbai - meaning on 3 different days, 2 in May and 1 in June. Will the results be announced for those candidates EOD or held and announced together at a later date?

2. If results are announced EOD - Does TAS have a number in their mind for this year? If they reach the number in the first or second Director's Round of Interview will that affect the results for the third one? In other words are the results independent of each other? Thanks in advance πŸ˜ƒ

Those who were not a part of the 2009 process should send an email with the subject TAS 2009_NO_NAME. I have confirmed with Dharna and this will only make her job easier.

Ashu_tas kay mooh main rasgulla!
