Tas 2010

Hey Vaibhav,

One qq.

Do you think it's worth to go through this rigorous TAS procedure, where your selection is not certain, or to go for a US Biz school (say ranked 15) with $$$?

Hemant

Hi Hemant !

Thats a tough one to answer !

I would rather call the TAS process a learning experience. :)
Where else you get to speak to the likes of people who constitute the panel. Its a sheer privilege. Its like testing oneself !

Regarding the US B school decision it would depend on a lot of factors..
academic requirements, experience, aspirations, monetary conditions and a lot others...

Comparing the two would be very difficult. Its learning both ways.
I guess you will have to weigh a lot of factors to make that call.

I personally chose TAS over XLRI and a few good institutes.

I do not know what B School you intend to move to and what are your plans, but yes if you would love to explore roles and industries for the first few years of your career, nothing like TAS.

All the best! Enjoi !

Regards!

The reason tasinhouse gives for not disclosing age limit in the site is "in observance of International age discrimination concerns."

But is this the right approach to address that concern? How can they assume that anybody who has less than 6yrs of work ex will definitely be younger than 27.

Not sure why the website and posters have different eligiblitty criteria.

The posters have the usual criteria of not > 27yrs and atleast 2 yrs of work ex in TATA.

But the website doesn't mention anything about 27 years but instead tries to acheive the same purpose with an experience ceiling of not > 6yrs. Seeing this one gets the impression that they've done away with the age factor.

When I checked with the my HR SpPoC i get a response that 'we have reasons for not posting age limit on the website'. I am yet to recover from this response.

I am a postgraduate hence I have less than 6yrs workex even though am older than 27. I qualify for TAS if I go by the criteria in tasinhouse.com but fail miserably as per criteria in the posters.

I've sent a mail to tasinhouse.com as well but yet to get a response.

Anyone has any idea???

There are no word limits, however there is SPACE limit on each of these questions .....

Vaibhav,
Just for the sake of information, was it the same set asked last year?
Also,if we need more space for any question, what options can we look at?

Folks,

Any idea about the last date for submission of this form?

hey
well u have to submit by25th march to your HRSPOC as mentioned on TAS in house website

Hi Pritesh !

1) The questions are the same.
2) For additional info, make the best use of the space provided for additional information in the end.

As a guideline, compile answers with a fair view of the word limit.
Take a photocopy of the form and then fill (only handwritten) it to see if it fits.

I guess except ECC details, the space for answers will be sufficient.
You may add ECC's in the additional info section. !

All the best !

Hello Puys

There is an essay asking " Successful leader have a clear sense of purpose. What is your Statement of Purpose?" -- Do you think it essentially asks "Why TAS?"

Please pour in with your suggestions ...
