Chitkara University offers a wide range of UG, PG and Doctoral courses. Most of its academic programs are ranked in top 50 programs in the country. The process of admission in Chitkara University for the different courses are as below:
- Admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) is done on the basis of marks scored in JEE Mains.
- For admission in B.Arch, candidates need to appear in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) or JEE MAINS entrance examination.
- Admission to BCA, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc., B.Physiotherapy, B.Optometry, B.Pharma, Pharm.D., B. Occupational Therapy and Integrated BCA-MCA is done on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination (10+2) and personal interview.
- Admission to B.Sc. Animation and Bachelor of Fine Arts is done on the basis of CUDAT 2019.
- Admission to B.Des. Interior Design, Game Design, Visual Communication and User Interface is done on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination and Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) Score.
- Admission to MA Journalism, B.Ed, M. Physiotherapy and M. Optometry, is done on the basis of marks secured in graduation and personal interview.
- For admission in MBA, candidates need to appear in any of the management aptitude test (CAT / MAT / XAT/ GMAT/ NMAT/ CMAT). Selection is done on the basis of marks scored in any of the above-mentioned aptitude test and Personal Interview (PI).
- Selection for M. Des User Experience and Interior Design is done on the basis of marks scored in Bachelor’s and the performance in the interview.
- Selection for M. Pharma and Pharm D is done on the basis of marks secured in B. Pharmacy and the performance in entrance test and personal interview.
- Ph.D. admission is based on the university-based entrance followed by an interview. GATE/ GPAT/ CSIR-NET/ UGC-NET or equivalent national level examinations scores are also acceptable.
- For admission in M.E. and MCA, the candidate will have to clear entrance exam and personal interview.

Chitkara University UG courses admission process
On Undergraduate level, Chitkara University offers numerous courses which include B.E. in eight specializations, B.Sc. in fields like Agriculture, Hospitality Administration, Culinary Arts, Nursing, etc. In addition, the college also offers B.Com, BBA, BCA, Pharmacy and B.A. in different fields. The admission process and eligibility criteria for the B.Tech and other UG courses are as follows:

Important points to note:
- 25% seats are reserved for the candidates of Himachal Pradesh and 15% seats are reserved for the candidates of Punjab. Seats to SC, ST, OBC, Physically Handicapped and others are allocated as per the State Government Policy.
- Candidates who have a three year diploma 50% marks are eligible to apply for second year of the B.E. course through lateral entry.
- The marks in 10+2 examination will not be rounded off and in case of candidates with equal marks in 10+2, marks in the next lower examination will be considered.
Chitkara University PG courses admission process
In the postgraduate program, Chitkara offers candidates various options ranging from MBA in more than 10 fields, ME in four fields and also other courses like M.Sc., M. Pharmacy and B.Ed. The admission process and eligibility criteria for the M.Tech and other PG courses are as follows:

Aside from Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, Chitkara University also offers various Doctoral programs that include management, science and education fields. The admission process and eligibility criteria for the doctoral courses are as follows:
