IIM Bangalore Admission Process

IIM Bangalore offers a 2-year MBA as its flagship program and for 2022 admissions, IIM Bangalore will award 40% weightage to CAT score and 60 percent weightage to the candidate’s profile. Ie, 50% Academics, 8% Work Experience and 2% Gender Diversity.

All the shortlisted candidates will be called for WAT and PI interviews. WAT at IIM Bangalore will be of 30 minutes duration. The candidate must have scored a minimum sectional percentile of 80% in the Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section and 75 percentile in ‘Quantitative Aptitude (QA)’, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) in CAT.  For Final selection, IIM Bangalore will consider CAT Cutoff (40%), Class 10 Marks (20%), Class 12 Marks (10%), Bachelor’s Degree (20%), Gender Diversity (2%), Work Experience (8%).

Apart from MBA, IIM Bangalore most sought after program also include an Executive MBA and MBA in Business Analytics. The college mandates a minimum work experience of 5 years for Executive MBA admission. Final Executive MBA Admission is granted as per GMAT and GRE Score.

The MBA in Business Analytics is also a 2 year-long program and the admission process is a 2 stage process. Privately Offered Scholarships:

IIMB Alumni Scholarships:

• IIMB PGP Alumni First Batch (1976) Scholarship: This scholarship is given to a differently-abled woman student from PGP. The scholarship aims to assist a differently-abled female student (or male student, if there is no eligible female student). The scholarship carries a purse of INR 75000, a medallion and a certificate.
• Runwal Education Trust Scholarship: This scholarship is given to a PGP student based on a combination of academic performance in the 1st year and the student’s financial need. The scholarship carries a purse of INR 100000, a medallion and a certificate.

Government Funded Scholarships:

• NTPC Scholarship Scheme: The scholarship amounts to INR 48,000 per year. Students who belong to SC/ST/PwD categories and are in their second year of management studies, having passed the first-year examination in one attempt, are eligible for the scholarship.
• Ministry of Tribal Affairs Scholarship (ST): The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India invites applications for the National Scholarship for Higher Education for Scheduled Tribe students of PGP first year. This is a means scholarship that covers tuition expenses in full.
• Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Scholarship (SC): The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Government of India invites applications for the National Scholarship for Higher Education for Scheduled Caste students from Meritorious SC students PGP first year. This is a means scholarship that covers tuition expenses in full.
