Process of Admission to IIT BHU
Admissions to the PG and PhD programmes at IIT BHU are now open. A shortlist of applicants for the MPharm and PhD interview stages has been made public by the institute. The dates of the PI rounds for these courses are May 5–12. The interview rounds for the MTech programme were completed on May 5. On May 10, 2022, the initial queue for final admissions will be made public. The BTech programme admissions procedure will start following the August 28 JEE Advanced 2022 exam.
Admission to IIT BHU in 2022–2023 will be dependent on an entrance exam. For admission, the institute accepts marks from national entrance exams including JEE Advanced, GATE, IIT JAM, GPAT, etc. IIT BHU takes JEE Advanced scores into account for admissions to BTech and BArch. From August 7–11, candidates who passed the JEE Main exam can sign up for the exam. On August 28, JEE Advanced 2022 is planned.
From June 1–14, 2022, the institute will launch its first Industrial CAD, CFD, and Scientific Writing International Summer School. Participants in this programme will receive a two-week online job-focused training. The deadline for the identical applications was April 15. On a first-come, first-served basis, seats in the programme will be allocated to registered candidates.

Admission 2022 to B.Tech at IIT BHU
Admission to the four-year B.Tech programme at IIT BHU typically begins in September. Candidates must show up for JOSAA Counseling for seat distribution if they meet the eligibility requirements and have a valid JEE Advanced score higher than the IIT BHU cutoff.

B.Tech. IIT BHU Eligibility Requirements
For admission to IIT BHU’s B.Tech programme, applicants must have earned at least a 75 percent grade in the scientific portion of their 10+2 exam. SC/ST aspirants must have a 1+2 GPA of 65 percent. Alternative applicants for B.Tech admission are those who scored in the top 20 percent of their class in class 12.
IIT BHU takes a legitimate JEE Advanced score into consideration along with certified degree merit.
Selection Criteria for B.Tech. at IIT BHU
The final selection for IIT BHU is made through JOSAA Counselling based on JEE Advanced rank. Only applicants who have registered may take part in JOSAA Counseling.
In seven rounds of JOSAA Counseling, seats are assigned to candidates. The choice of course and college made at registration determines the seat allocation.

Admission 2022 to M.Tech at IIT BHU
The IIT BHU’s most well-known postgraduate programme is M.Tech. There are 40 distinct specialities available. Merit-based admission to the M.Tech. programme at IIT BHU is determined by GATE score, then a written exam or interview.
Candidates must register for the Common Offer Acceptance Portal in order to participate in the IIT BHU seat distribution procedure (COAP). Only COAP registered applicants are eligible to apply for IIT BHU’s M.Tech admission.
M.Tech. IIT BHU Eligibility Requirements
Candidates for IIT BHU M.Tech admission must hold a B.Tech in the appropriate field of study. The qualifying degree must have a minimum grade point average (CGPA) of 6.0 on a scale of 10. SC/ST applicants must have 55 percent of the total marks or a CGPA of 5.0.
Candidates who completed their undergraduate studies at an IIT and have CGPAs above 8.0 do not need a GATE score; instead, they will be admitted to IIT BHU solely on the basis of merit and an interview. It’s essential for non-IIT grads to have a legitimate GATE score.
M.Tech. Selection Criteria for IIT BHU
There are two parts to the selection procedure.
First stage: Candidates are chosen on the basis of merit and GATE results.
Stage 2: These chosen applicants must show up for a written exam/interview.
GATE scores receive a 70% weighting in the IIT BHU selection procedure, with the remaining 30% going to interviews.

Admission to M.Pharm at IIT BHU 2022
Admission to the two-year M.Pharm programme at IIT BHU is determined on GPAT exam results. The programme is available in the four specialities listed below:
- Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Pharmacognosy Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must hold a B.Pharm degree with at least 60% overall or a CGPA/CPI of 6.0 on a scale of 1 to 10.

IIT BHU offers a five-year B.Arch degree with only one specialisation, and it is one of the most popular courses at the university. Following the completion of JoSAA counselling, admission to the programme is granted based on JEE Main rank.
IIT BHU B.Arch Admission Requirements
A applicant must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for admission to the B.Arch programme at IIT BHU:
- 10+2 from a reputable board with a minimum cumulative score of 75%.

- Aspirants who have passed JEE Main may apply to any participating colleges.
- As many options may be selected while registering in decreasing order.

Ph.D. Selection Criteria at IIT BHU
- Candidates are shortlisted by IIT BHU based on their eligibility for GATE, NET, GPAT, CSIR, or UGC NET JRF.
