Chandigarh University Campus Facility
Named after the Chandigarh state, University of Chandigarh was established in 2012. Under the provision of Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chandigarh University was inaugurated. The prime objective behind the establishment of the university was to provide the people of Punjab with a premium quality research university.
Chandigarh University campus is located on Chandigarh Ludhiana Highway and spread across over 200 acres of land. There are near about 18 academic blocks on the university campus. Address of Chandigarh University City Office is SCO-223 First Floor, Sector – 36 D, Chandigarh – 160036.
Library of Chandigarh University has an enriched collection of 1,20,000 books. The library provides a peaceful environment so that the students can concentrate on their studies. Internet connection is provided in the library, which allows the students to access around 8.5 lakhs of e-books and 28,000 e-journals.
It remains open from 9.30 AM to 10 PM on working days. On the holidays and weekends, it provides its service from 9.30 AM to 4 PM. The library also propounds the students of Chandigarh University with competitive exams’ books.
There is a facility called Inter Library loan which is offered by the library. This particular service provides the readers to avail book from other libraries if the book is not present in the Chandigarh University library.
Chandigarh University campus has hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The university consists of six hostels for women within the university campus. These hostels are provided with clean rooms and spacious dining halls. For boys, the university offers 14 hostel buildings. Chandigarh University hostel fee starts from INR 77,000 per annum.
Chandigarh University campus area has a vast cricket stadium for the students as well as for its faculty members. Apart from that, there is a boxing, badminton, wrestling court where many national sports are organised each year.
There are some other facilities such as canteen, bank and dispensary which helps the students to maintain their daily activities.
