XLRI Admission Process

Application for admission to XLRI Xavier School of Management Jamshedpur can be filed in online mode. The criterion for admission into various programs is based on XAT examination score and PersonaI Interview rounds. While preparing the final list of candidates the university considers relevant work experience along with academic background and extracurricular activities.

XLRI Placements 2022

XLRI has recently concluded its 2022 placement drive. The participating batch comprised 114 students among which 112 students participated in the placement drive. The highest salary package of INR 44.74 LPA was offered to a student. Top 50% of the batch received an average salary of INR 30.04 LPA. EX-PGDM batch witnessed an increase of 40% in the average salary & 41% in the median salary. The average & median salary of the EX-PGDM students stood at INR 26.56 LPA & INR 26 LPA respectively.

In 2022 XLRI has successfully achieved a hundred percent placement for the batch of 2020-2022 for its flagship program. All 427 candidates succeeded in securing offers through the final recruitment process. The median salary offered to the batch stood at INR 30 LPA with the top ten and twenty-fifth percentile average being INR 48 Lakhs and INR 43 LPA. The highest salary package offered was INR 60 LPA. Moreover, the average salary saw an increase of 30.7 LPA from INR 23.91 LPA in 2020.

XLRI Summer Placements

XLRI Summer Internship Placements for the 2021-23 batch has also been concluded. A total of 470 students participated. Reputed recruiters like Coca-Cola, Asian Paints, P&G and many more visited the campus. The highlights of the summer internship placement drive are mentioned below:

• The highest stipend of INR 6.8 Lakhs per month was received.
• An average stipend of INR 1.28 Lakhs per month was offered to the students.
• Top 10% of the students received an average stipend of INR 1.82 Lakhs per month.
• Top 25% of the students received an average stipend of INR 1.63 Lakhs per month.
• The median stipend stood at INR 1.27 Lakhs per month.
• Most of the internship offers were made from the consulting/advisory, IT & e-commerce domains.

XLRI Scholarships

Xavier School of Management offers numerous scholarship schemes for students to avail the financial aid. The basic criteria for awarding any student a scholarship program is their marks and their current family income. The various schemes that XLRI offers are as follows:

• Aditya Birla Scholarship of INR 1.75 lakh per year - awarded to two deserving students
• Capital First Scholarship worth INR 1 lakh per year - awarded to eight meritorious students
• Pirojsha Godrej Scholarship worth INR 25,000: This is a merit-cum-need-based award granted to one meritorious student from an economically weak background
• Geeta Saxena Memorial worth INR 20,000: This scholarship is awarded to any worthy student candidate

Various other merit-cum-need scholarships can be availed by students such as Alumni Scholarship, XLRI Diamond Jubilee, Vasantha Sankaran Scholarship, Naveen Jain & Distinguished Alumni Award, and Kalyan Ganguly XEF Scholarship. 

XLRI Faculty

XLRI has seventy full-time faculty members across functional disciplines. XLRI Faculty-Students Ratio approximately is 1:10 XLRI invites professional faculty from all over the world through faculty exchange programs held at the university. Faculty members of XLRI work in different areas of profession such as Economics, Finance, General Management, HRM, Marketing Management, etc. All faculty members are degree holders from esteemed and prestigious universities all over India such as IIM Calcutta and the University of Maryland.

XLRI Hostel

XLRI provides a hostel facility to its full-time residential program students. The college campus consists of 4 hostel blocks with a total of 400 rooms. The college has 2 locations i.e Old and New Campus. The new campus has single occupancy hostel rooms available for first year students. Whereas the second-year students get hostel rooms on the old campus.

XLRI International Exchange Program

The International Student Exchange Program of XLRI (ISEP) helps nearly 20 percent of the MBA batch spend a semester overseas in the top management colleges in the world. The seats are available to both Human Resource Management (HRM) and Business Management programs.
